Niranjan Nadkarni Chief Executive Officer, TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa
Mr. Niranjan Nadkarni was appointed Chief Executive Officer of TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa region on July 1, 2017. He is responsible for the strategic and corporate growth of the markets under his purview. In his current role, his key focus is to augment synergies within the sub-region by leveraging personnel and business competencies available to strengthen service and market portfolio of each sub-region.
With over two decades of experience, Niranjan started his career with SKF Bearings India Pvt. Ltd. In 1995, he made an unconventional move to join a five-member team at TÜV SÜD. He then qualified to become a Lead Auditor for management system certification ISO 9001, QS 9000, VDA 6.1 and TS 16949. During this tenure, he performed audits and training in many markets across the globe such as USA, Germany, Japan, China, South Korea, ASEAN and South Asia.
In 1998, he was appointed the head of South India region for TÜV SÜD South Asia. After managing this portfolio for over eight years, Niranjan was appointed as Vice President- Product Services, with the thrust to set up the Product Services portfolio in South Asia. He was instrumental in establishing a network of state-of-the-art laboratories for food, textiles and leather along with planning and implementation of market expansion strategy.
In 2009, he was appointed CEO of TÜV SÜD South Asia where he was responsible for the firm’s growth across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Under his leadership, TÜV SÜD South Asia witnessed exponential growth in new business areas, expanded its product offerings and double digit financial growth.
Brought up in Mumbai, Niranjan is a Mechanical Engineer and has Masters’ degree in Management from Pune University in India. He is an avid reader and enjoys travelling and cross-country trekking.
Klaus Langner Chief Financial Officer, TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa
Mr. Klaus Langner was appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa region on July 1, 2017. In this role, he is responsible for financial and risk management, corporate development, strategic planning, performance management and corporate governance in this vast and diverse market. Prior to this appointment, Klaus was the CFO for the ASEAN region at TÜV SÜD.
Before joining TÜV SÜD, Klaus was a Partner & Managing Director at a leading strategy consulting firm, The Boston Consulting Group, and brings 16 years of experience in consulting top management on corporate and business unit strategy. He also served as a consultant for the United Nations World Food Program in East Timor and is a passionate advocate for non-profit causes related to improving children welfare, education, disaster and humanitarian relief.
After living in Germany and the United States, Klaus has been based in Singapore since 2001 and worked throughout Asia Pacific. He holds an MBA with distinction from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Masters in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Richard Hong Chief Executive Officer, TÜV SÜD ASEAN
Mr. Richard Hong has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of TÜV SÜD ASEAN on 1 July 2013. In this new capacity, he oversees TÜV SÜD’s businesses and operations in the ASEAN region including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Prior to this, he was Chief Operating Officer for TÜV SÜD ASEAN and Global ICM Director of TÜV SÜD Product Service.
In his role as Global ICM Director, Mr. Hong successfully built up a global ICM database, charted the growth strategy for the Global ICM business, expanded the network of MRA and MOU partners within TÜV SÜD Group and extended the scope of recognition of TÜV SÜD test reports and certificates worldwide.
With over 18 years of experience in product certification and international compliance management for information technology equipment, home appliances, wireless products and audio-visual (AV) products, Mr. Hong is a much sought after speaker at international conferences and seminars and is also the key representative of TÜV SÜD in international arenas.
He is responsible for the planning and formulating of international, strategic partnerships for the company including China Quality Centre (CQC), Japan Quality Assurance (JQA), Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre (HKSTC) etc.
As the expert advisor and appointed member of IE Singapore’s Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Panel of Advisors, Mr. Hong assists Singapore-based enterprises in their internationalization efforts to well-utilize Singapore’s vast network of FTAs.
Mr. Hong was formerly CEO of Sibercert Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of PSB Corporation. He was instrumental in the establishment and management of the entire subsidiary.
Mr. Hong holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, a Master of Science (Industrial & Systems Engineering) from National University of Singapore and a Master of Finance from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).
Femelyn S. Lati General Manager, TÜV SÜD PSB Philippines
Miss Femelyn Lati was appointed General Manager of TÜV SÜD Philippines in May 2013. She currently oversees TÜV SÜD’s entire operations in the Philippines. Miss Lati holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, from the Philippine School of Business Administration, Quezon City and is a Certified Public Accountant.
She first started her career with the prominent auditing firm, Sycip, Gorres, Velayo & Co. in November 1998 as Associate Auditor. In December 2000, she joined G4S Holding Inc., a leading international security solutions group that specializes in secure outsourcing, assuming the role of Group Finance Controller. She was responsible for the Finance, Treasury, Procurement and Payroll Departments of the G4S Holding group in the Philippines and oversaw budgeting, cash flows, costing and pricing on the various business segments. She established and implemented control measures including the compliance to local as well as international financial reporting.
Miss Lati is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Barangay Bagumbayan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BBMPC), a local community based cooperative at her home town in Quezon City. She provides assistance to the officers and members in achieving the objectives of the cooperative for livelihood projects and benefits of members through the credit loans, savings and retail store services of the BBMPC.
In March 2008, Fem joined TÜV SÜD Philippines as Finance Manager. On 1 April 2010 she was promoted to Manager of Management Service (MS), in charge of the overall management system/certification business. She went on to assume Deputy General Manager increasing her responsibilities to the entire operations as well as all other business units of TÜV SÜD Philippines.
David Lau Head of Real Estate & Infrastructure, TÜV SÜD ASEAN
With effect from 1 July 2013, David will head the ASEAN real estate business and be responsible for setting the overall real estate strategy and direction in the region. Prior to this, he was responsible for TÜV SÜD's Product Service operations in the ASEAN region including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
With over 20 years of experience in the management and development of mechanical testing capabilities, Mr. Lau has designed numerous large-scale testing facilities to test performances of heat pumps, chillers, air conditioners etc. He also has experience in designing big-budget computer control and data acquisition systems, test facilities for facades, fire door, scaffolding, ventilation and hydroponics systems.
Before the acquisition of PSB Corporation by the TÜV SÜD Group in 2006, Mr. Lau was instrumental in helping the corporation achieve SAC-SINGLAS accreditation, the establishment of PSB Corporation's Fire Test Lab and penetration of new overseas markets such as Thailand, Hong Kong and China. He first joined the company as engineer in 1989 when the corporation was still the Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research (SISIR).
Mr Lau holds a Bachelor & Master of Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Buffalo, New York, USA where he majored in Thermal & Fluid Mechanics. To date, Mr Lau has published 6 Technical Papers in international journals and conferences.
Goh Wee Hong Head of Product Service, TÜV SÜD ASEAN
Mr Goh Wee Hong joined TÜV SÜD as Senior Vice President, Product Service on 1 August 2013. In this new capacity, he is responsible for leading and expanding the product service business in the ASEAN region.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Wee Hong has held various leadership roles in the IT, electronics and manufacturing sectors. Prior to this appointment, he was Regional Sales Director at AT&T ASEAN. With AT&T since April 2001, he was instrumental in leading a team of sales professionals in growing the business and supporting the global networking needs of key customers in the region.
Before 2001, Wee Hong was Strategic Account Manager for ECS Computer (Asia) Pte Ltd developing new businesses in manufacturing and distribution markets in Singapore. Prior to joining ECS Computer, he was senior export sales engineer for Molex Singapore Manufacturing Pte Ltd, where he supported sales to the Asia Pacific markets. He has also spent 6 years previously in the testing and certification industry with SGS Singapore where he was responsible for both the manufacturing process audits and quality assurance for computer peripherals and operations of the commercial laboratory.
Wee Hong holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the RMIT University, a Master of Science degree, Information Studies from the Nanyang Technological University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the National University of Singapore.
Shankar Mohan Head of Management Service, TÜV SÜD ASEAN
Mr. Shankar MOHAN, Head of Management Service for TÜV SÜD ASEAN is responsible for setting the overall Management System business unit strategy and direction within the ASEAN region. He is also responsible for aligning corporate and divisional requirements across ASEAN for management system certification.
Mr. Mohan brings with him more than 15 years of experience and was responsible for growing the management system business units in TÜV SÜD South Asia (covering India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka). He is also a qualified Automotive and Management System Auditor, as well as an experienced trainer.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Shankar was working with an automotive component manufacturing and management system consulting firm. He also served as a Quality Management consultant on a freelance basis where he helped to implement quality management system standards as well as best practices in both manufacturing and service sectors.
Mr. Shankar holds an Industrial Engineering degree from Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering with Automotive as Elective subject. His technical qualification includes Automotive Auditing, QMS, EMS and OHSAS plus software quality management to support the IT and ITES domain.
Bratin Roy Head of Industry Service, TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa
Bratin Roy is responsible for TÜV SÜD’s Industry Services businesses and operations in the South Asia region including India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and ASEAN region including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. As a head of Industry service, he is leading 4 multidisciplinary business units i.e Power & Systems; Chemical, oil and gas; Steam & Pressure; and Environment services to achieve the strategic objective and targets of the region. In addition, He is also responsible for operation of two global competency center of TÜV SÜD group focusing on conventional power plant consultancy and supply chain service.
Mr. Roy is working with TUV SUD since last twelve years. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Roy was working with leading energy and environment consulting firms in India focusing on energy, environment, corporate sustainability, power and utility strategy management as business and operation lead. He also worked as a consultant for the various multilateral funded projects under Work bank, Asian Development Bank, KFW, United Nations.
Mr. Roy holds a Bachelor degree & Master diploma in Chemical and Safety Engineering respectively. In addition, he also holds a MBA in Public System Management
