All workplaces covered under WSHA are must carry out risk assessments on all their activities and processes. Therefore, in order to achieve or maintain bizSAFE Level 3 status, your organisation must have its Risk Management (RM) Implementation audited by an MOM Approved WSH auditor, such as TÜV SÜD PSB.
The audit for RM implementation is required for compliance to Workplace Safety and Health (Risk Management) Regulation, Code of Practice on WSH Risk Management and bizSAFE Level 3 requirements. This is applicable to organisations aiming for bizSAFE Level 3 and bizSAFE STAR status, and ensures that risk or hazards are identified, managed and controlled
The BizSAFE level 3 certificate is also the minimum requirement for tenders and contracts with some of the BizSAFE Partners, main construction firms, and government bodies etc.
BizSAFE Level 3 is valid for 3 years from the date of approval or upon expiry of the relevant external certifications, whichever is earlier.
** For any relocation or change in nature of operations of the organization, WSH Council can request the organization to re-audit its Risk Management implementation by an MOM Approved WSH auditor
BizSafe Level 5 (STAR)
BizSAFE STAR is the highest level of accreditation in the BizSAFE programme , it signifies the commitment of the organization in promoting Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) by establishing and implementing an Occupational Health and Safety Management System
Your organization can go straight to bizSAFE STAR, provided that it has obtained SS506 certification (issued by SAC accredited certification bodies such as TÜV SÜD PSB), or with BS OHSAS 18001 or other equivalent certification, followed by a Risk Management Implementation Audit Report from an MOM Approved WSH Auditor (such as TÜV SÜD PSB). This ensures that risk or hazards are identified, managed and controlled.
Although bizSAFE STAR is the highest level of achievement, organisations certified to bizSAFE STAR is still required to continually monitor and improve their WSHMS and risk management. A renewal audit is conducted every 3 years to maintain bizSAFE STAR certification.
